10 Minutes to Calm
Declutter and de-stress
ORGANIZED AND ELEGANT
A prettier home in 3 hours!
All of these things are great, they really can be helpful in a busy world, to declutter and de-stress are wonderful things.
Funny how sometimes God looks at things in a different way. Here is the headline he might write today -
Troubled times? GREAT!
Expect them because then I can be your strength and you will grow!
FEELING MESSY, STRESSED, AND DISORGANIZED...
Don't fix it quick, rely and me for the long haul, it will be great in the end.
This is what I read in Jesus Calling this morning:
When some basic need is lacking - time, energy, money - consider yourself blessed. Your very lack is an opportunity to latch onto Me in unashamed dependence. When you begin the day with inadequate resources, you must concentrate your efforts on the present moment. This is where you are meant to live - in the present; it is the place where I always await you. Awareness of your inadequacy is a rich blessing, training you to rely wholeheartedly on me.
The truth is that self-sufficiency is a myth perpetuated by pride and temporary success. Health and wealth can disappear instantly, as can life itself Rejoice in your insufficiency, knowing that MY Power is made perfect in weakness. (April 30 - Sarah Young, Jesus Calling)
The world urges us to get it all put together, then we will feel peace and happiness. Jesus speaks a different message that I think all of us long to hear and believe. He is our peace, the only peace we can truly have. So, don't make that bed today, instead spend time with Jesus (okay and make your bed, there is scientific proof that making your bed helps you feel better and besides that, your mom told you to!)
