The kids...

I have so many pictures of the kids lately and with the end of school and the fun of summer it seems like a good time to reflect on our precious ones.  So, with that in mind I decided to write a little about each kiddo, what they are up to, what they enjoy.  We are so proud of them and love them to pieces.  Being a mommy is the greatest gift to me and I love my job!  Enjoy a little picture of our kiddos and perhaps they will bring you joy as well!

Elizabeth

Elizabeth finished up 1st grade this year and did a stellar job in school!  She LOVES to read so much and we cannot seem to get her out of her books.  Which is a great problem to have!  She is growing so much and is becoming a beautiful young lady - inside and out.
She enjoyed school very much this year and looks forward to being a 2nd grader next year!

She took ballet this year again and has really loved that.  She thinks she might want to be a ballet teacher when she grows up.  She and Sarah were both in a dance recital this Spring and did a wonderful job.  Elizabeth doesn't get nervous at all in front of people, although she is very shy one on one.  She said the thing that makes her smile the most at recitals is "seeing all the people looking at me!"  I love seeing her confidence and independence grow.

Elizabeth loves to help and is sure that soon she will be able to be the babysitter at our house!  I am sure she could do it but I think we'll give her a few more years!

The last day of 1st grade!

Joshua

My little boy is so much fun!  I am loving seeing how different he is from the girls yet fits so perfectly in our family.  He is becoming very involved in playing with the girls and likes to take note of what everyone is doing - it is like he does roll call numerous times a day to make sure he knows where everyone is and their status!  He calls Elizabeth - Izzy, Sarah - Rara, Thunder - under or undie, then of course Mama and Dada...that is roll call!

His favorite thing in all the world right now is anything with wheels!  He loves woo woo's (fire trucks), bom bines (combines), tractors, rucks (trucks), cars, buses...you name it, if it has wheels and moves he loves it!

He loves being outside and will just play for hours with his tractors, buckets, shovels, lawn mower... He is full on boy!

He is still mama's boy and loves to snuggle with his nigh-nights (two blankies) and reads books.  I am loving this stage with him.  He is so curious, learns so much every day, and is just a joy.

The "Cheesey" grin!

The nice, beautiful curls - I cut them right after this!
After the hair cut - with a nice purple beard that he colored on himself!?

More coloring...I turn my back for a moment!

He and his buddy Under (Thunder!)

Can't believe he will turn 2 this summer...where have the days gone?!!

Sarah

Our sweet Sarah graduated from Preschool this year.  She is such an amazing little girl and I love how she knows what she is thinking and is able to express it quite well.  She loves to draw and color, she loves a good long chat, and she has learned to ride her bike like an expert this summer!
She is a very good helper around the house, especially when it comes to playing with Joshua.  They have a very sweet little friendship and I love seeing that grow.
Sarah is so giving and kind.  She loves animals and kids - she has lots of ideas about what she wants to be when she grows up and most of them have something to do with animals or kids!

In the fall she will start Kindergarten and I know she will be reading before we know it!  She has a love of learning and is excited about joining Elizabeth and I in homeschool.

Feeling proud!
