Our Summer
We have had a lot of fun this summer so far and I wanted to share some of our fun moments with you. I left out the 4th of July and a wonderful camping trip with dear friends...will save those for another post. There is still more fun to be had this summer, seems to be going oh so quickly!
Another Garden Tour

We are overjoyed with how our garden is coming along. I can hardly make enough with the basil, I need to start making pesto and freezing it I guess...anyone have any ideas?
The corn is much taller than Elizabeth, the pumpkins are taking over, the beans are delicious, the carrots are amazing (even Elizabeth nibbled on one today), the tomatoes are going crazy, and the potaoes are huge!
Both girls love the garden, Elizabeth loves to work in it and show it to people (not really into eating from it though), Sarah loves to eat things from it...yeah!!! She eats what Nate calls, "carrott popcicles". She just carries the carrots around with the greens on and nibbles them until she gets to the greens.
I am a little worried about the zuchinni. It is not looking all that great and I am not sure what to do about them? Here is a picture of the plants...any thoughts? Perhaps the pumpkins are taking them over. They look a little wilted and have brown leaves. I really hope we get some zuchinni, it is one of my favorites from the garden.

Everyday when I go out to the garden I just stand in awe of how God works. He makes this tiny seed grow into an amazing plant and then a delicious vegetable. I know that I am not becoming a delicious vegetable, but I do pray that God is continuing to grow me into a beautiful woman that is pleasing to Him.
When did this happen?
Yesterday I was so overjoyed to hear that I had another baby girl....wait, I guess that was almost 19 months ago now! Sarah Joy is growing up so much - especially these past few weeks. She is very verbal (although we are only able to understand about 1/2 of what she says), she does everything her sister does, and she is yet another drama queen of the house!
The other day I came upon her with two pacifiers in her mouth, she loves her "bibi" and her little yellow elephant "Elly". My friends joke with me that she will walk down the isle at graduation with her "bibi"...perhaps we will work on letting it go soon!
Here's a little Joy for you all!

To Wendy
My dear friend Wendy called me from the Philippines the other night. It is always wonderful to hear her voice! We talked for a bit, never as long as we would like, and when I got off Elizabeth was so sad and said, " But mom, I wanted to talk to her too." She decided that we should make a movie of her riding her bike for Wendy. So that night we went outside and made this video, we intended to send it right away but did not. I was just going to e-mail it to her but I know the video would be too big for e-mail so I thought I would post it here and that way lots of people could enjoy it as well!
So Wendy, this is for you with love from the girls! We love you and miss you!!
