Birthday Girl!

My goodness how the time flies. Wasn't it just yesterday that I held my precious new baby girl in my arms and wondered what she would be like as she grew? Today Sarah turned 1! Yesterday she learned to stand all by herself for quite a while. She loves to make people smile. She has a shy side but is so sweet and loving. She has a firey side as well when it comes to getting her way (especially with her sister). She loves to bop to music, she has a wonderful smile, she loves to give kisses, and she loves her new baby doll.

We had a fun day celebrating her! It began with birthday pancakes and ended with yummy cake. We love you Sarah and are so thankful for the blessing you are to us!!

Oh Christmas Tree!

Tis the season to bustle about and get a tree no doubt.

We Reinhards like to get a real one for sure
but not really one that smells like manure.

Manure? you ask with a tilt of your head,

Yes, that's the smell that we dread.

We cut a beautiful fresh tree down,

loaded it up and headed to town.

Excitement filled the air as we drug it inside

Then what should we smell? oh yuck, we all sighed!

The smell of our dear ol' Greeley

Coming into our house with our tree, now really.

Perhaps next year we will trek to the mountains and behold fresh smelling trees,

But for now we will smile and enjoy our tree that has the faint smell of cows in the breeze!

Home is where your heart is

Home is where your heart is...
Nate and I feel so fortunate to have a beautiful home to call our own in Colorado. The holiday season began in November with Thanksgiving and we were so blessed to be able to head to another place we call home with Nate's family in Indiana. Christmas will be here before we know it and we will be at home in Colorado with my family. We are blessed to have so many places to call home here on earth. But what is even more amazing and awesome is the fact that we will never truly be home until we are with our Lord in heaven. Thank you Jesus for making yourself humble and coming to save us so that our home can be with you forever.
May this season be a reminder of where your home is, for there your heart will be also.

Childhood...

While we were home in Berne, Nate got to show Elizabeth some of his childhood and it thrilled both of them! Elizabeth loved grandpa's barn, HER kitty, the swing, the bikes, Emily's doll house, the neighbor's dog(which she is pretty convinced is grandpa's), riding grandpa's tractor, and helping grandma make rolls for Thanksgiving...just to name a few! Sarah joined in on all she could and loved pretty much everything Elizabeth did - sometimes too much! Can you believe that after all was said and done we didn't take any pictures of all the cousins together!!?
