Daddy's Girls

Sweet and Silly

Oh, these girls are just cracking me up lately! They are so sweet, silly, sassy, and very much sisters!!

Here are some cute quotes:

Sarah after a bike ride (in the sweetest little voice) "That was awfully fun and nice, the whole family together!"

Sarah after Nate and I spent a weekend doing home improvement projects (in a not so sweet voice)
"You are doing so much, I just can't talk to you!!!"

Elizabeth (during a rainstorm) "Mom, what are you doing?" Mom - " I am checking the weather (on the computer to see if we are under any watches or warnings) E - "But mom, we already know what the weather is! "

This was music to my ears today at lunch, after picking these things out of the garden...
Both girls in a desperate plea voice:
E - "Mom, you didn't give me any snap peas!!!"
S - "I didn't get any spinach!!!"

Hmm...
E to S "Do you want to play dead or jail?"
Later, while dancing and listening to music, E to S again, "Come on let's go get some boys and marry them!"

Mom to girls, "We need to get moving, we all seem a little down in the dumps."
E "Yes, lets get going, come on, let's go to the store and buy a new purse!!"

One more camping photo...

Oh how messy we get! The smores were good, but somehow ended up in places that they shouldn't have! We all had a good laugh!

First Camping Trip of the season!

This weekend we went on our first camping trip of the season. It was a great time had by all!
Both girls were so excited, Elizabeth because of remembering last years adventures and Sarah because everyone else was excited! Remember the great tent she got for her birthday from my mom? That is what she thought we would sleep in! It hit us that she has no memories of camping last year!

We left on Saturday morning in the foggy cool weather, praying the whole way that the sun would come out. About a half hour later, the sun broke forth and it was a beautiful day.

We found a great spot, near the river and away from any other spots. It was great.

The girls loved playing in the tent and both slept really well. We left earlier than we expexted on Sunday afternoon because it began to snow as we were packing up! Got to love that Colorado mountain weather!

I am so thankful that we enjoy spending time together as a family. The girls are great little campers!
