Garden Progress

Planting seeds in a garden is very exciting, watching them grow is wonderful, and getting to savor the flavor of fresh picked produce is even more amazing!

We finished off our spinach this weekend, sharing it with the family at a family dinner.

Elizabeth is enjoying watching it all grow as well, but has yet to eat anything! Perhaps she will by the end of the summer.

This was definitely a trial year in our garden and we are both thinking that the pumpkins may soon take over the whole area! Live and learn!!

I think we will have plenty to share of everything, so come on over and enjoy it with us!

We have the pleasure of watching my sister's new little puppy for the weekend. She is such a doll, I had to share some pictures of her!

Amazing Day!

Nate and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary this past week. In honor of it we took the girls to my parents house and had a nice dinner in, slept in, and then went up to the mountains for the day. I have a bee in my bonnet to someday climb a 14er (14thousand ft mountain). I got this bee in my bonnet about three years ago upon returning from the Philippines. However, that was before I found out that little Elizabeth was growing within me! Perhaps another year. Since then it seems I have either had a child in me or on me during the summer so it just has not happened. This summer however, I would love to try it. So, in preparation for that Nate and I went up Estes Cone. It is not a huge mountain by any means but it is about 11,000ft so it did feel like an accomplishment to me! We thoroughly enjoyed the hike and even the climb toward the end went ok -- climbing the last part and seeing the amazing views at the top was so awesome! What a thrill for Nate and I to do this together. We plan on doing a few more smaller mountains and then perhaps attempting a 14er by the end of the summer.

I love being married to my best friend. He is always so encouraging and wonderful when we do something a little challenging for me. He has helped me to become more of the woman that God has created me to be by being the man God has created him to be.
