A song in her heart

My dear sweet Elizabeth always has a song in her heart and I will often catch her singing to herself. Rarely does she want to sing out, even when we sing together, unless she doesn't think anyone is listening. In a rare moment last night I caught her wanting to sing on the camera (as long as I sang with her). She was pretty shy about it still and turned red when I played it back for her. I thought it was so cute though that I had to share it with the world! She does love Jesus, in fact just the other day she said she wanted to marry him when she gets older! So enjoy this little glimpse of Elizabeth and know that Jesus loves you too!

Choices

A way that Nate and I have helped Elizabeth through hard situations is by offering her choices. For example, "You have two choices, you can clean up the mess you made or sit in time out and clean it up afterward." So today at lunch we had this conversation:
Beth "Mom, can we watch a movie while we eat? Yes or No"
Mom "No, not today."
Beth whines a little
Mom gives the look
Beth "You have two choices; loving, takin care of each other, eatin lunch, OR watch a movie. What do you think mom?"

I just had to smile. She has a way and I sure do love her!
