Today I heard my new baby's heartbeat. There is something so amazing about that sound. I have known that there is a new life growing inside me, but hearing the sound of his or her heart just does something to my heart. This tiny little child is growing within me - he can move his fingers and toes, he has fingernails, he can open his mouth, and is moving around inside of me, his heart is beating.
When the nurse was finding the heartbeat, she said, "The doppler is picking up your heartbeat at the same time." Our hearts are beating together, is there any greater bond?!
It is truly amazing, I am in awe of God's amazing design.
(just a disclaimer, I used the word "he" just to simplify! We won't know who this little one is until delivery day!)
